Frequently asked questions

Do I need a building permit? +

Yes. In almost all Canary municipalities a modular home requires a major works permit. We assist with the paperwork.

How long from order to moving in? +

Between 4 and 9 months. The bottleneck is the permit; manufacturing is 6-10 weeks and assembly 48 hours.

Can I finance it? +

We offer deferred payment up to 36 months. Traditional mortgages are difficult with modules; personal loans or leasing are faster alternatives.

Can the module be moved later? +

Yes. AUTARKIA 10 and 20 transport by truck without disassembly. The 40 requires separating the two modules and reconnecting them.

Does it withstand Granadilla winds? +

Yes. Structure calculated for winds up to 150 km/h per CTE wind zone C. Foundation anchors mandatory.

What warranty does it have? +

20 years structural, 10 years envelope and roof, 2 years equipment and installations.

Can I extend by adding modules? +

Yes. The system is designed to grow. Start with an AUTARKIA 10 and add modules when you need.

Does it resist coastal salt? +

Hot-dip galvanised steel, A4 stainless fittings in coastal version, marine epoxy paint. Suitable for first line.

How is off-grid maintenance? +

Annual panel check, water filters every 6 months, LiFePO4 batteries practically maintenance-free. We train you on handover.

Can I choose finishes? +

Yes. Three finish lines (Bone, Noir, Cobre) with floor, kitchen and bathroom options. Bespoke work also available.

Do you work outside the Canaries? +

Currently only Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Palma. Mainland and Balearics on request.

Can I visit a module before buying? +

Yes. Our showroom in San Isidro de Abona has an AUTARKIA 20 fully installed and running.

Do I need a specific plot? +

Any buildable plot with truck and crane access. We help you assess it before purchase.

What if it rains during assembly? +

Assembly is 48 hours, planned with weather forecast. If it rains, modules are factory-sealed.

How much water can I harvest? +

A 28 m² roof captures around 8,000 litres per year in San Isidro. Enough for 1-2 people with mindful consumption, complemented by safety tank.
