Autárkia

The Greek word autárkia means self-sufficiency: the capacity to be enough on your own. For the Stoics, it was the foundation of a free life.

Diagnosis

AUTARKIA was not born from off-grid fashion or magazine minimalism. It comes from an uncomfortable observation: the lifestyle modern societies have normalised manufactures ignorant, dependent and fragile citizens. People who do not know where their water comes from, who controls their energy, or what happens when one of those networks fails.

We do not propose an ideology against this. We propose an object.

The product

A module manufactured in the workshop, installed on the plot in 48 hours, capable of running without connection to any external network. Not a cabin. Not a decorated container. Not a holiday house with solar panels on the roof. A self-sufficient home of industrial precision, with habitability certificate, CTE compliance and twenty-year structural warranty.

The logic

Self-sufficiency is not a posture. It is arithmetic. Producing your own energy is cheaper than buying it. Having your own water is more reliable than depending on a pipe. Treating greywater and reusing it for irrigation is more responsible than discharging it. Turning blackwater into cooking biogas is more sensible than shipping gas from the other side of the planet. Charging your electric car with solar surplus is more free than visiting the petrol station.

Every AUTARKIA system is calculated. Every component has a number behind it.

For whom

We design for people who have done the maths. Who know that dependency has a monthly price, a price in freedom and a price in dignity. Who prefer to live well without overpaying, overwaiting, overdepending.

If you are looking for a charming second home, there are a thousand options. If you are looking to stop depending, you are in the right place.
