Autárkeia
The Greek word autárkeia means self-sufficiency: the capacity to suffice unto oneself. For the Stoics, it was the foundation of a free life.
AUTARKIA was not born from off-grid fashion or magazine minimalism. It began with an observation: in the Canary Islands, building a traditional home takes 18 to 36 months, faces unpredictable permits, and leaves owners hostage to ever more expensive and unreliable utility networks.
Against that, we propose a precise industrial object: a module manufactured in workshop, assembled on site in 48 hours, capable of operating without connection to any grid. Not a cabin. Not a decorated container. A home with habitability certificate, CTE compliance and twenty-year structural warranty.
Self-sufficiency is not an ideology. It is a rational choice: producing your own electricity is cheaper than buying it, harvesting rainwater is more reliable than waiting for the water truck, treating greywater locally is more responsible than dumping it in a cesspool.
We design for people who have done the maths and want to live well without overpaying, overwaiting or overdepending.
